SHY SPEAKER SYSTEM

BACHELOR PRESENTATION @ FHP

For my Bachelor presentation I developed an interactive installation, which uses sounds to lead visitors from the entrance of the building & through the exhibition.

A series of small speakers is reacting to movements of the visitor, but are also communicating with each other. If a person is close to speaker A, it´s sound disappears and speaker-B takes over in the distance. This allows and motivates visitors to follow the sound. Various noises are telling the story of my working process. Additionaly the whole path was “painted” with a ambient soundscape which was in tune with the resonancies of the building – creating a strange and immersive experience.
